South Bethany Committee Guidelines

Purpose: These Guidelines describe the manner in which Committees shall be formed or dissolved, the manner in which the membership of Committees shall be determined, and the manner in which the business, efforts or work of Committees shall be determined and conducted. It shall be the duty of the Mayor and Town Council to create and to dissolve Committees. The Mayor and Town Council shall also establish each Committee’s role, its specific membership and its leadership. Committees exist for the sole purpose of fulfilling the role and direction authorized by the Mayor and Town Council. Definitions: Committee – A Standing Committee or Ad Hoc Committee in the Town of South Bethany is a body of at least three (3) voting members and up to nine (9) members appointed to consider, study, investigate or take action as a group on assigned matters. BICYCLE GUIDELINES

BICYCLE GUIDELINES  ALL BICYCLISTS MUST PARK THEIR BIKES WITHIN A BIKE RACK ORDINANCE 202-21 regulates that bikes parked in the public right-of-way (ROW) shall be parked in bike racks only. Bikes parked outside of racks in the Town’s ROW, are subject to removal by the South Bethany Police.  Bikes secured to a street sign, light post, utility pole, fence or other support, by use of a bike chain or lock device, are subject to removal by the South Bethany Police.  Property owners who find bikes parked on their property without permission, may contact the South Bethany Police.  Bikes removed by the Police will be secured at the Police department located at 402 Evergreen Road. Bikes can be retrieved by the non-emergency line at 302-539-3996 and arranging a pick-up time.  Do not discard or park bicycles on vacant lots or private property.  Respect our beach town and homeowner’s property.  Use crosswalks […]
