NEW Construction Hours per Ordinance 213-23
Date Posted: Thursday, November 9th, 2023At its November 9, 2023, meeting, Town Council voted 6-0 to approve Ordinance 213-23, which amended Chapter 42 (Building Construction), specifically with the addition of a stop-work order process, and prohibiting construction work between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. by any contractor or property owner. No construction work shall be performed on any Sunday or observed Federal holiday throughout the entire year — or any Saturday from May 15 through September 15 — other than by owners or their family members working on their own properties. South Bethany Community Food Drive Accepting Donations Nov. 27, 2023 – Dec. 2, 2023
Date Posted: Monday, November 20th, 2023The South Bethany Community Relations Committee (CRC) will be accepting donations from Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, through Saturday, December 2, 2023, of non-perishable food in jars, cans, and sealed packets to go to the Cape Henlopen Food Basket. We recommend sauces, soups, cereal, granola bars, snack packs, peanut butter, boxed juices, long-life milk, condiments, dish and/or laundry detergent, and aluminum foil. For a full list of donation suggestions, please click here. Drop-off for the items will be only at the South Bethany Town Hall lobby (Monday, Nov. 27-Friday, Dec. 1, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.); or you may bring them to the Holiday Tree Lighting, outside of the South Bethany Town Hall, on Saturday, Dec. 2 (the last day of accepting donations) at 5 p.m.
