COVID-19 Beach Closure

Update On COVID19 – Beach Closure  As promised we are providing an update on the decisions being taken at both the Federal, State and Local levels. Today, pursuant to the Third Modification to a Declaration of State of Emergency, Governor Carney closed the Delaware beaches effective at 5:00 PM, Saturday, March 21, 2020.  This closure is in effect until May 15, 2020 or the public threat of COVID 19 has been eliminated. The Town of South Bethany, as authorized by the Governor’s Declaration, has determined that the beaches within the Town shall be CLOSED for ALL purposes.  That is, no one will be allowed on the beaches for exercise or any other purposes while the Governor’s order remains in effect.  The Town will be enforcing this directive and no activity will be allowed on the beach effective immediately.
