Due to the public health threat of COVID-19, Town of South Bethany public buildings are closed to the public through May 15, 2020, and the beaches within the Town shall be CLOSED for ALL purposes. Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment shall, in its activities and decisions, be governed by Title 22, Chapter 3, of the Delaware Code, and Article XV of Chapter 145 of the Town Code.

There is a vacancy on the Board of Adjustment due to the resignation of a member. The term is set to expire in August 2022. Requirements: The Board consists of five members who are full-time residents or own property and reside in Town at least 30 days, consecutively or non-consecutively, each year.

Board members should be knowledgeable of the problems of urban and rural development and become familiarized with Town Code, specifically Chapter 145, Zoning.

All new members are required to attend a class through the University of Delaware regarding procedures, standards and composition of the Board of Adjustment, paid by the Town of South Bethany.
