Election 2023 – CANCELLED
Date Posted: Friday, March 31st, 2023NOTICE TOWN OF SOUTH BETHANY 2023 ELECTION CANCELLED The Town of South Bethany Election, which would have been scheduled for May 13, 2023, has been cancelled. There are three seats open for Council Members for two-year terms. Only two of the three seats for Council were filled by two unopposed candidates. Both were qualified by the Board of Elections. The following are declared elected by the South Bethany Board of Elections: Council Members-elect – Edie Dondero and William “Tim” Shaw The Town of South Bethany will swear in the two candidates at the Town Council Organizational Meeting to be held at a later date, which will be posted.

Bid No. 23-01 Exercise Classes
Date Posted: Friday, January 13th, 2023TOWN OF SOUTH BETHANY BID NOTICE Bid No. 23-01 The Town of South Bethany is accepting proposals from bidders to provide exercise classes on the beach and/or at the adult fitness area for the 2023 summer season. Times and dates to be determined by the Town of South Bethany. Up to three (3) concessionaires may be awarded, at Council’s discretion. Concession fees will be established by competitive bidding, with the minimum bid starting at $250. Interested bidders can obtain a copy of specifications and instructions by contacting Matt Amerling at townclerk@southbethany.org or 302-539-3653, ext. 100. Sealed proposals should be addressed to the Town Manager and clearly marked “Exercise Class Concession Proposal” and shall be received at the Town of South Bethany, 402 Evergreen Road, South Bethany, DE, 19930, until Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened. South Bethany Community Food Drive Accepting Donations Nov. 28, 2022 – Dec. 3, 2022
Date Posted: Friday, November 18th, 2022The South Bethany Community Relations Committee will be accepting donations from Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, through Saturday, December 3, 2022, of non-perishable food in jars, cans, and sealed packets to go to the Cape Henlopen Food Basket. We recommend sauces, soups, cereal, granola bars, snack packs, peanut butter, boxed juices, long-life milk, condiments, dish and/or laundry detergent, and aluminum foil. Drop-off for the items will be only at the South Bethany Police Department, or you may bring them to the Holiday Tree Lighting at South Bethany Town Hall on Saturday, Dec. 3 (the last day of accepting donations) at 5 p.m.
