Sussex County Sewer Project – Updating Pump Station 13

Sussex County Sewer will be conducting renovations on Pump Station 13, located between 125 and 127 Bayshore Drive, beginning Monday, January 19, 2026. This project is scheduled to take up to 3-months.

The project consists of 1) dewatering starting the week of the 19th, 2) the addition of a manhole in the easement between 128 and 130 Bayshore to assist with bypassing the pump station while it is being refurbished and, 3) the control cabinet as well as the pumps and equipment in the well, will be updated.

To help with the movement of traffic during the project, beginning Monday, January 12, 2026, temporary traffic lights will be installed on each side of the work area; one between 129 and 135 Bayshore, and another between 120 and 124 Bayshore, both of which are empty lots. Residents located between 120 and 130 (even addresses only) will be directly affected by the work; however, those residents will be provided access, regardless of the work occurring.

A representative from Sussex County will be onsite throughout most of the project. Please direct any and all questions to Sussex County by contacting Dennis Duerr at 302-855-7867.
