ALL BICYCLISTS MUST PARK THEIR BIKES WITHIN A BIKE RACK
ORDINANCE 202-21 regulates that bikes parked in the public right-of-way (ROW) shall be parked in bike racks only. Bikes parked outside of racks in the Town’s ROW, are subject to removal by the South Bethany Police.
Bikes secured to a street sign, light post, utility pole, fence or other support, by use of a bike chain or lock device, are subject to removal by the South Bethany Police.
Property owners who find bikes parked on their property without permission, may contact the South Bethany Police.
Bikes removed by the Police will be secured at the Police department located at 402 Evergreen Road. Bikes can be retrieved by the non-emergency line at 302-539-3996 and arranging a pick-up time.
Do not discard or park bicycles on vacant lots or private property.
Respect our beach town and homeowner’s property.
Use crosswalks and traffic light intersections and follow Delaware bicycle laws.
A bike repair station is located at the end of Anchorage Canal and Coastal Highway, including tools to perform basic bike repairs and maintenance from changing a flat tire, adjusting brakes and other small repairs.
