        9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. \nThere are three (3) seats open for Coun
 cil members for a two (2) year term\, and one (1) seat open for Mayor 
 for a two (2) year term. \n\nResident/Non-resident Council Members\n\n
 The Town Charter provides that at least four of the seven members of t
 he Town Council (which includes the Mayor) must be residents of the to
 wn\, but all may be residents of the Town.\n\n \n\nMAYOR: Candidates f
 or Mayor must qualify as a “Resident” of the Town.  The candidates for
  Mayor\, who are both Residents\, are: \n\nEdith Dondero \n\nWilliam “
 Tim” Shaw.\n\n \n\nCOUNCIL MEMBERS:  Based upon the current compositio
 n of Town Council\, and the Mayor’s residency requirement\, one (1) of
  the three (3) Council seats up for election this year must be filled 
 by a Resident of the Town\, and two (2) of the three (3) Council seats
  up for election this year may be filled by either a Resident or a Non
 resident property owner.\n\n \n\nThe Town Council candidates are: \n\n

 stions about voting.\n\nABSENTEE BALLOT VOTING\n\nYou must complete an
  Affidavit\, stating a qualified reason\, to receive an Absentee Votin
 g Ballot. Three ways to receive an Affidavit:\n\n1) Stop in Town Hall\
 , 402 Evergreen Rd\, South Bethany\, DE.\n\n2) Call (302) 539-3653 or 
 email (townclerk@southbethany.org) to request an Affidavit be mailed o
 r emailed to you (see below for deadline).\n\n3) Download an Affidavit
  from our website\; southbethany.delaware.gov: “Info Tab”\, “Election 
 Info”. After submitting a completed and qualifying Affidavit to Town H
 all\, you will receive an Absentee Ballot.\n\nA completed\, signed Aff
 idavit may be mailed\, emailed from the voter’s email\, or delivered i
 n person to Town Hall.\n\n 	Any Affidavit which requests that an Absen
 tee Ballot be MAILED to the elector must be received at Town Hall no l
 ater than four days prior (May 7\, 2024) to the day of the election\, 
 to ensure adequate time for mailing.\n 	All other Affidavits MUST BE R
 ECEIVED at Town Hall no later than 12:00 p.m. noon\, the day before (M
 ay 10\, 2024) the day of the election.\n 	PLEASE CALL TOWN HALL IF YOU
