DNREC Survey for Prioritizing Dredging Projects in the Inland BaysDate Posted: Thursday, August 1st, 2019
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your feedback is very important so that we can improve our canals and Inland Bays. The survey should take no longer than 3 minutes to complete!
Thank you in advance for your participation. We appreciate your time in providing feedback!
The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Watershed Stewardship (DWS), is developing a methodology for prioritizing dredging projects in the Inland Bays. With increased demands on resources and decreased federal funding available, DNREC is working toward cultivating a data-based approach to ensure that Delaware’s navigational channels are kept open and safe. Input from involved stakeholders (you) is crucial in achieving this goal.
DNREC NEEDS YOUR HELP
The DWS is working on a list of criteria that can be used to prioritize and weigh proposed dredging projects. DNREC is requesting feedback on these metrics. Please visit the website below to participate in their survey.
